While the rest of us get visibly older over the years, celebrities somehow manage to look forever young. They seem to be in their sixties or seventies before crows feet dare to make an appearance and although their publicity shots may be airbrushed, the pictures they don’t control are not and they still look a million dollars.
For instance this picture of Demi Moore was shot by photographer Cliff From Cliffordsphotograpy.com when Demi was attending the Huffington Post Pre-Inaugural Party in 2009. She was 46…

How do these stars do it?
This video at UK celebrity magazine OK gives us some insights, giving one secret away from each of three celebrities that seem to have eternal youth sewn up (Demi Moore, Jennifer Aniston and Gwyneth Paltrow). And while some of these may be weird and wonderful, beauty reporter Nicola Bonn provides a few tips you can use to help you out without having the celebrity budget, mega loads time to spend on yourself or celebrity entourage. As she says
Demi Moore, Jennifer Aniston and Gwyneth Paltrow are forever wowing us with their youthful looks and keeping us wondering how they do it.
Here’s how they do it according to Nicola
- Demi Moore is said to use blood sucking leeches on her face. Rather her than me. I think I prefer crows feet and laughter lines LOL
- Jennifer Aniston recommends hemorrhoid cream for getting rid of a baggy, tired look under your eyes. I have heard of this tip before and that it is often used by top models though I haven’t tried it myself.
- Gwyneth Paltrow is said to favor snake venom facials although apparently they use artificial snake venom these days so no snakes are harmed in the preservation of her face
If blood sucking leeches, snake venom and hemorrhoid cream are not your thing, Nicola advises
- drinking plenty of water
- wearing an SPF sun cream when you go outside even in winter
- wearing a night cream when you go to bed (doesn’t need to be an expensive one)
- lots of sleep (so your mother was right after all)
You know I bet Demi et al. do all that as well as all the special treatments so it’s no wonder that they look better than the rest of us. I’m sure there’s even more as well that Nicola didn’t mention like getting plenty of exercise and eating a very healthy diet – the two things that seem to be pretty difficult for mere mortals.
Maybe if we had the cameras and zoom lenses trained on us all day like the celebrities, cream cake, chocolate and chips would be less likely to pass our lips and we would be forever going to the gym and not forgetting our yoga practice. Then we would have the secret of eternal youth too.
