In the hilarious spoof makeup tutorial video below by Hayley Hoover “How to Look a Disgusting Mess” you can see many of the makeup mistakes that you can spot on girls and women everywhere.
These are the ones that make you think, (but hopefully never say), “Did you look in the mirror before you left the house?”
Luckily as a rule you don’t see all of these problems on one face at the same time but you must have seen all of them on someone at one time or another. The question is, are you guilty of any of them without knowing it???
No time to view? Just make sure you stay clear of all of these makeup disasters….
- Covering your pale face in bronzing powder so no one can see how your skin looks, thinking that you look much better with “a bit of color”
- Stopping application of face makeup at your chin leaving a visible tide mark where the color is different between your face and your neck
- Failing to conceal dark circles
- Leaving eyebrows ungroomed and filling them in with pencil that is too dark and unnatural
- Not getting rid of unibrows
- Applying cheap blue eye shadow all over your eyelids
- Not matching up your eye makeup application – your eye makeup should be the same on both eyes
- Adding thick black eyeliner that swamps your eyes. See “How to apply Eyeliner” instead

- Applying three coats of mascara so your eyelashes clump together
- Drawing your lip liner where you wish your lips were, not where they actually are
- Choosing a lip color that doesn’t go with your skin
- Applying gloopy lip gloss that is too shiny to be natural
- Using a highlighter without blending to draw attention to all your makeup mistakes 🙂
Haley finishes it all off with a lot of teasing of her hair and there you go, she’s ready for Halloween but I prefer the MAC Halloween makeup looks we saw earlier LOL
