Angelina Jolie
If I had not seen this with my own eyes I would not have believed that makeup artist Tamang Phan could transform herself to look so much like Angelina Jolie. Wow! That is really impressive. Not that all of us should want to look like Angelina Jolie – the world would be really eerie with thousands of Angelinas walking around and poor Brad would not know which way to look LOL
Anyway, this may be another chance to change your look for Halloween perhaps? And somewhat prettier than the three looks in the MAC Halloween makeup tutorial.
The makeup used in this Angelina Jolie makeup tutorial video is as follows:-
- a light tone liquid foundation used all over the face and applied using a stippling brush
- a powder foundation applied using a Kabuki brush to give a matte texture
- a brown eyebrow pencil to reshape your brows
- a concealer applied under the eyebrows to sharpen the shape of the eyebrows
- a white pearlescent eyeshadow on the brow bone (the one used in the video is a creamy eye shadow from a palette by Urban Decay)
- contouring along the sides of the nose and at the tip using a matte brown eyeshadow (make sure you blend this in well or you will look very strange indeed, more eerie than “Jolie”)
- apply the same eye shadow half an inch above your eyes to emphasize the depth of the eye lids
- with a liquid black eyeliner fake a double lid over the brown eye shadow (this may not be needed depending on the shape of your eyes)
- also apply the liner along the upper lash line and create a small wing at the outer corner. See How to apply eyeliner for more tips on getting this right
- a white eyeshadow in the inner corners of the eyes to give you a wide eyed look
- apply white eyeliner on the waterline to make your eyes look bigger
- a pale brown eye shadow under the eyes
- a black eyeshadow applied to lower lash line with a small brush
- false eyelashes applied to the outer part of the upper lids
- black mascara applied to upper and lower lashes
- brown eyeshadow applied as contour makeup in the hollows of the cheekbones (careful blending required again!)
- pink powder blush on cheekbones
- nude pink lip liner applied all over the lips
- light brown lip liner used for lining the lips
- MAC nude lip gloss
And if you really want to complete the look you might need a wig with long brown hair and green eye contacts. And good luck with copying the Angelina body if you don’t already have one 🙂

I have to say I find this makeup tutorial inspiring – not because I want to look like Angelina but the way she changes her look so dramatically means there is no end to the looks we can all create with makeup. It makes me see the need to try some different looks and not stick with the natural look I usually go for.
